Saudi Al-Nassr signs kit deal with Nike

Al-Nassr has unveiled Nike as its new kit manufacturer following Cristiano Ronaldo’s arrival in January this year.

This was made known via the club’s official Twitter account on Sunday, it stated, “

We are delighted to announce Nike, as our official kit supplier for the 2023-24 season.

“This deal will be activated starting from AlNassr Japan Tour at the end of July.”

Ronaldo has a lifetime deal with Nike and is currently on a 10-year contract with the company that is valued at £147 million.

Ronaldo’s team, Al-Nassr, switched from Arabic giants Duneus to Nike as their jersey manufacturer. This is the team’s third collaboration with Nike, having previously collaborated with them from 1997 to 2001 and again from 2010 to 2012.

The change in manufacturer is unlikely to result in a big visual shift, as Duneus drew inspiration for their present kit design from Nike’s style.

Another Saudi pro league team, Al-Hilal, just signed a five-year partnership with a well-known sportswear company, Puma, as the league’s international image develops.
