Police Disperses Yoruba Nation Agitators Allegedly Kills One

In a clash between members of the Yoruba nation agitators in the Ojota area of Lagos State today resulted in the death of yet to be identified male adult.

Over 200 agitators are reported to have embarked on the protests and allegedly had shot pump action guns which was used on a police officer, Superintendent of Police, Akinwunmi Oke.

Oke, the Operation Officer attached to the state Rapid Response Squad, is believed to be an anti-riot officer known for restoring peace at any assigned area.

In the early hours of today, miscreants masquerading as Yoruba Nation Agitators came out in their hundreds, disrupting social and commercial activities at Ojota area of the state.

The crowds who took to the streets were dispersed by security operatives who shot teargas in the air. The ensuing confrontation led to a pandemonium making commuters scamper for safety.

The agitators also reportedly burnt a police van.

Lagos State Police Spokesperson, Mr. Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed this incident via his official twitter handle Four persons have now been arrested in connection to the assault.
