NNPP Laments Poor Governance, Charges Good Leadership

By Oyeniyi Esan

The Formal caretaker Committee chairman of New Nigeria People’s Party of Ekiti State, Dr. Yinka Folahan, has lamented poor governance, weak economy and insecurity as the country celebrates her 64 years of Independence from colonial rule.

This was disclosed in a letter made available to 32FM correspondent that the country received its Freedom Charter on 1 October, 1960, tradition suggests and our hearts require that we render humble devotion to Almighty God for the mercies bestowed upon us by His goodness.

According to him , “A great Nation must move on. Yesterday is not ours to recover, but tomorrow is ours to win or to lose. So, I ask you to join us in that resolve. More than any generation before us, we have cause to be worried, on this Independence Day. Our harvests are not bountiful, our factories are not flourishing, our homes are not safe, our defences are not secure. We are no longer living in peace”.

“I have lived through 9 years of this present tragedy under the leadership of APC that none of us will ever forget. We are not given the divine wisdom to answer why this has been”.

“I come before you to ask your help, to ask your strength, to ask your prayers that God may provide a good leader come 2027”.

He also added that, “the move to draft NNPP National leader, HE Sen Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso into 2027 presidential race and win will give a good account of his stewardship by utilizing our resources in the service of mankind. May we have the vision and courage to accept him so that he can discharge honourably the responsibilities inherent in his strength by consecrating himself the attainment of a better Nigeria

“And, finally, I ask that we remember our dear nation Nigeria each day in our prayers so that we can have a new day when peace is more secure, when justice is more universal, when freedom is stronger in every home”.
